Happy Holidays

ChristmasCookiesFor the first time in three years, we decided to stay home for the holidays.  We put up the tree early, went shopping for presents early, and I even baked a bazillion cookies before the holiday rush.  Believe me, this is all very odd.  Usually we run around like deranged elves on speed toward the end of December, but this year we are relaxed.  We are lazing around the house.  We are reading lots of good books.  We are watching our favorite holiday movies like Elf and A Christmas Story.

I’m in a surreal Norman Rockwell bubble, people. How did this happen? I know it can’t last, but I’m really loving my bubble!  I already told my family that the plan on Christmas  is to spend the whole day at home in our pajamas.  So we’ve got goals.  What are yours?  What things are you planning this holiday?

Whatever you do, I wish you all the happiness you can hold, and lots of peace in the year ahead.  See you in 2013!

Merry Christmas to you and your family Tara! I’m happy to hear you folks will have a relaxing Christmas. Janet will be hosting a Christmas brunch at her home, then we may go see “The Hobbit.” So we may have to change out of our pajamas at some point tomorrow. 🙂

  2. Merry Christmas in your flannels, Tara!

Mission accomplished. Pajamas stayed on, and debauchery was achieved!
